One of the most common questions from vendors and end-users regarding addressing student data privacy issues is, “where do we start”? This question drove the second project – “Digital Tools Governance”. This project centers around developing a comprehensive framework for aligning a school system’s policy landscape, strategic programming, tactical processes, and accountability mechanisms to support the vision of how a digital tool ecosystem will advance an overall mission and goals while minimizing its risks of data privacy and security incidents. This set of guiding questions, engagement strategies and varied use case development support has been designed by District leaders to address any of their digital ecosystem tasks.
